Urban Mill, a laboratory of the future of work at the edge of Helsinki
Espoo - Finland
Last of the Finnish series about this inspiring creative space I had the chance to visit.
I previously wrote about how companies building usage changes. Here is one nice example : Urban Mill is situated in a former warehouse and uses the whole building's volume as a co-working and co-creation space.
This space is the meeting point of different actors (startups, big corporations, public sector, students, residents...) to imagine the city of tomorrow, enabling informal discussions and so, catalyzing a form of collective intelligence.
Its cofounders Kari Mikkelä and Lars Miikki believe in a new way of working, based on individuals working in human size teams, sharing of ideas and rapid test of new solutions.
